
INVESCO FUNDS GROUP PROMOTES CHARLES MAYER
Denver, CO ‚ June 25, 2001 ‚ INVESCO Funds Group, one of the fastest growing mutual fund companies in the United States, has promoted Charles Mayer to Director of Value and Fixed Income Investments. In his new capacity, he will also oversee the management of the company¼s fixed income portfolios. According to Miller, Mr. Mayer¼s promotion is in line with efforts to continue to develop the resources necessary to manage the company¼s extraordinary growth and provide overall strategic direction to the INVESCO Funds investment team.
Mr. Mayer has built an impressive track record managing conservative equity funds. He began his career as a securities analyst and portfolio manager in 1969 and has managed diversified portfolios for thirty years. Since joining INVESCO Funds Group in 1993, Mr. Mayer has assumed portfolio management responsibilities for the INVESCO Equity Income, INVESCO Total Return and INVESCO Value Equity Funds. He is also the co-manager of the INVESCO Balanced Fund.
