
STATE STREET RESEARCH HIGH INCOME FUND CO-MANAGERS NAMED
BOSTON, MA, June 26, 2001-State Street Research & Management Company today
announced that Rosalina Feliciano and Don DeVeuve have been named
Co-Managers for State Street Research High Income Fund. In addition, they
will also be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Opportunistic
High Yield portfolios and other High Yield products. These appointments are
effective July 1.
Ms. Feliciano and Mr. DeVeuve are replacing Kim Peters who is leaving the
firm at the end of June. "The appointment of Rosalina and Don will be a
seamless transition of management responsibilities," said Dan Strelow,
Co-Chief Investment Officer, Fixed Income. "With 26 years of experience in
the investment industry, we
believe that Rosalina and Don's combined experience and knowledge of fixed
income products will best serve the needs of our clients."
Ms. Feliciano has had portfolio manager responsibility for the MetLife
Strategic High Yield portfolio as well as the High Yield portion of the
State Street Research Strategic Growth and Income Fund in addition to her
industry analyst responsibilities. She joined State Street Research in 1995
and has more than 10 years of investment experience. Ms. Feliciano earned a
BA in Math and Biology from Cornell University and an MBA from Massachusetts
Institute of Technology, Sloan School of Management. She became a Chartered
Financial Analyst in 1996.
Mr. DeVeuve has been the portfolio manager for the Opportunistic High Yield
portfolios while performing his duties as an industry analyst as well. He
joined State Street Research in 1995 as a corporate bond analyst and has
more than 16 years of investment experience. Mr. DeVeuve earned a BA from
Middlebury College and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts School of
Business Administration.
